Charity begins at, uh, hmmm.....

A friend mentioned today that by collecting receipts from the local grocery store, a small percentage of the sales would be donated to cancer research. What a joke! Oh the games they play.

They already have cures for cancer, aids and I'm pretty much willing to bet they have antidotes for just about every illness out there.... considering they manufactured most of them for at least the last fifty years.

My big question is where does one donate and be confident that what they contribute will actually reach the intended recipients? Medical research is a joke. Aid relief to victims of natural disasters around the world is another hoax.

As far as I can tell, the only way to ensure any acts of charity get to the truly needy, is to place it directly in their hands.

What a sad, sad world this is.
